If we have been feeling mentally or emotionally unwell for a while the idea of having a sense of wellbeing can seem out of reach. We can simply wish to be free of the negative and debilitating feelings of anxiety and depression. For many years mental health treatments focused on helping people to be released from the severity of these conditions. Positive psychologists and counsellors though, aim for more than simply being free of the symptoms and instead aspire to help clients to achieve a sense of wellbeing. They believe that every human being deserves to have the opportunity to create happiness in their life.
